One way to add audio files to a blog

Adding audio or a podcast to a blog adds another element to instruction! Here I have created an audio file in audacity. This software is free. I then posted the audio file to a wiki I created.

I then copied the address of the file on the wiki to the blog. This step is necessary because you cannot post audio files directly to the blog. They have to be on the internet somewhere first.

Using wikispaces (which is free for teachers) was an easy way to post files I want my students to hear from my blog.

Adding a Picture to Blogger

I wanted to show you that it is possible to add pictures to a blog. This is helpful if you were using the blog for writing and wanted students to write about the picture.

If you are using the blog for homework, you could post a picture of a school event, or a place that students would be visiting.

Make sure that you have signed permission before posting any student pictures on a blog! This makes adding easy.

Removing the Nav Bar

It is important when using blogger that you remove the nav bar. The reason is that the little "next blog" button can take you to an inappropriate site. In order to do this, you have to edit the html code for the blog.
